CHARLESTON pillowcase

The CHARLESTON pillowcase is Celso de Lemos bed linen in a cotton and silk cloth. Wide lines are woven into the cloth. The lines cross and form a large diamond pattern. The pattern is woven in a raised diagonal weave, the ground is smooth. In White the pattern is white on white and the difference in the weave brings it out. The pillowcase has a flange and the pattern runs over it. The pillowcase closes as an envelope. There are five sizes.

The cloth is woven from extra-long-staple Egyptian Giza cotton and silk. This cotton grows along the Nile and is picked by hand. Two per cent of Egypt's cotton is extra-long-staple. The longer the fibre, the finer the yarn that can be spun from it. A fine yarn gives a smooth, durable cloth. A square metre of the CHARLESTON cloth weighs 160 g.
