BOURDON pillowcase

The BOURDON pillowcase is Celso de Lemos's sateen bed linen with a single line embroidered along its edge. The maker says the embroidery is in the same tone as the cloth. The maker adds that BOURDON gives a bed a very classy touch. The pillowcase has an envelope closure. There are ten sizes, from a 30 × 40 cm pillow to an 80 × 80 cm one.

There are 37 colours. On three of them the embroidery differs from the cloth. Gold and Silver are a white cloth with gold or silver embroidery. Black is a Natural cloth with black embroidery.

The cloth is woven from extra-long-staple Egyptian Giza cotton. This cotton grows along the Nile and is picked by hand. Two per cent of Egypt's cotton is extra-long-staple. The longer the fibre, the finer the yarn that can be spun from it. A fine yarn gives a durable cloth and a high thread count. The BOURDON thread count is 700, and a square metre of the cloth weighs 130 g.
