The EMMA pillowcase is Celso de Lemos's sateen bed linen. Every EMMA colour has a flange in a contrasting shade. The flange is 2.5 cm wide on the small cases and 5 cm on the larger ones. The pillowcase has an envelope closure. There are ten sizes, from a 30 × 40 cm pillow to an 80 × 80 cm one.
The cloth is woven from extra-long-staple Egyptian Giza cotton. Giza is the region along the Nile where this cotton is grown. The longer the fibre, the finer the yarn that can be spun from it. A fine yarn gives a durable cloth and a high thread count. The EMMA thread count is 700, and a square metre of the cloth weighs 120 g. The maker calls Giza cotton extremely rare and unrivalled in softness.
EMMA is made in Portugal.
