CALLISTO pillowcase

The CALLISTO pillowcase is Celso de Lemos bed linen in a silk and cotton cloth. A large gold pattern is woven into the cloth, with rounded blue-grey spots inside it. The pattern has a sheen, the ground is pale and matt. On the 30 × 40 and 65 × 65 cm sizes the pattern runs on both sides, a fine plain piping runs along the edge and the pillowcase closes with a zip. On the other sizes the back is plain. There are five sizes.

The cloth is woven from silk and extra-long-staple Egyptian Giza cotton. There is more silk in the cloth than cotton. This cotton grows along the Nile and is picked by hand. Two per cent of Egypt's cotton is extra-long-staple. The longer the fibre, the finer the yarn that can be spun from it. A fine yarn gives a smooth, durable cloth. A square metre of the CALLISTO cloth weighs 210 g.
